So this weeks events were more about the visit to our friends and getting ourselves ready to head north, and first we looked t the van and repacked it and Ellen got rid of a lot of the winter and cold cloths we got during our stay in Tassie.
Next we looked at her car and after some looking about ended up getting it shipped by truck back to Queensland and we took it to the transport place on Wednesday and it should be back about the time we get there as well, it will make it so much easier doing it this way.
Ellen and her friend Mary have been out to the shops everyday looking at bargains and getting about the shops.
We really are just spending time with them and have not done all that much and are near ready now to leave on Sunday Morning and head north taking our time to get back and if the weather of today is anything to go by it will be hot, they are saying 42 and late this afternoon 100km winds, such fun.
So Thursday we headed out to an old Gold Mine about 2hrs from where we are and below are a set of Photos and info from that visit, it would be a very hot place in full summer and the water truck came though town around 1pm just to wet down the roads as the tar was getting very sticky to walk on. Its a windy road into this place great for bikes and we saw lots of 4x4 with their camping gear heading up into the tracks all around the area, seems a busy place for campers.

Walhalla is a small town in Victoria, Australia, founded as a gold-mining community in late 1862 and at its peak home to around 4,000 residents. Today, the town has a population of 20 permanent residents, though it has a large proportion of houses owned as holiday properties.
Nestled in a steep sided valley at the southern edge of the Victorian Alps, the town is surrounded by a national park, lush forests and fern gullies.
During the gold rush of the 1860s, Walhalla was one of Australia's richest towns and a mecca for thousands of gold seekers. While the town is now home to only a handful of permanent residents, tourism has taken over and Walhalla receives around 100,000 visitors each year. Those taking the scenic drive to Walhalla can step back in time to visit this beautifully preserved village full of heritage buildings including old hotels, shops, school and churches.
The town centre features a pub, cafes, corner store, gift store and museum. There are plenty of options for accommodation, ranging from B&Bs and hotels, to basic rooms.
Walhalla is storybook magical in autumn, thanks to the colourful deciduous trees that line the town's streets and the random scatterings of wildflowers.
Visitors can experience the town's gold mining heritage with a tour of the Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine accessing Cohens Reef - a three kilometre vein of gold running through the town.
The Walhalla Goldfields Railway runs from Walhalla through Stringers Creek Gorge to Thomson Station, operating three days per week. Walhalla also has an eerier side, which can be experienced on a ghost tour to the old cemetery on the hill.
Located on the edge of forested national park, Walhalla is also a popular base for camping, fishing, bushwalking and four wheel driving. The snow fields of Mount Baw Baw and Mount St Gwinear are both within a comfortable drive of Walhalla.

So Saturday will be our last day in Victoria, this time around as we are leaving Sunday Morning and would be in Albury sometime in the afternoon for our first stop as we return to Queensland, in no hurry as Ellen Doctors appointment is not till the 21st and I hope to get in around the 12th as we need to setup base and settle a few days before that.
So the girls will be spending today out shopping as I finish off my preps to travel, I will top off fuel tanks sometime tomorrow and hook up van so I don't have to worry about it Sunday, we are lucky that it seems fuel is going down around here at present e10 is 1.13 per lt. and premium is 1.34lt which hope stays that way.
Ok well to next time stay safe and enjoy life.
