WEEK, 119, WORKING HARD

Picture
So we are getting settled in so far, we arrived on the Saturday got the van parked up and went and visited some friends for dinner that night and returned to park next day and stared moving stuff into our new two bedroom unit we have now above the office.
My new job puts me in as the Assistant  Manager of Park and I work a 10 day and 4 off Rooster which is good and I am also Night Manager for 6 Days of my Rooster as the Park also has 28 Motel rooms.

When we arrived we found out the park managers where leaving with our first two weeks and now we have new people arrived who are taking over and as I am off till Tuesday 10am I will work with then till then.

So my first 10 days was fast and I had so much to learn and the people leaving really did not want to show me to much as the new Manger would change it up when they got here anyway.
So I walked about and did so weeding, mowing and general clean up as the place is in poor order and will need to be need a lot of love.

For those asking Ellen was so surprised about the car and has washed and cleaned it and is a little slow and going out yet and can understand with the traffic about she is best only to go between 10am and 2pm till she understand Melbourne Traffic.
She has covered parking area behind a locked gate and is safely parked there.
It goes really well and will give her some freedom and can go out without me shopping which is why she has it.

So we are near Frankston and are on a busy road and it will take Ellen a little while to get used to the traffic as she has not driven for some two years and I have taken her to the local shopping centre and Aldi, Coles and Woolworths which are all within 5 km of us and a little walk down the road is the local IGA, so we have shops everywhere about.

The weather has been cool and have had a couple of storms including last night, but yet to get any really hot days and I will get on Office when that comes I think.
Ellen's been offered some work as well when they get busy which will be good for her, as she is Planning to go up to Brisbane over Christmas while I work during that time, which is fine well used to that.

The cost of Fuel being petrol has dropped here last tank I got in Tasmania was 1.70 per lt., it is 1.20lt today I noticed which is good but I only have to work down to stairs to be at work and have no driving or traffic to worry about here, the poor car has not moved for past 10 days and I washed it yesterday and it raining today .
And yes the unit came fully furnished for us including, cups, plates, knifes and forks so the van stuff does not have to come out.
The van is stored down the back in a area safe and in the caravan park area so I see it everyday and will have to go and sort out inside as we have removed some stuff and will need a tidy up.
So far am enjoying the job no stress or bother just so many different things to do and so many people about something we are getting used to as we don't see many while House Sitting.

But I have not done much on my 4 days off this time as I am given body a rest as not worked in over 2 years and I was sore and weak after past 10 days with 4 of the last ones where 10 hour days, something I have not done in a while.
I write this on a desktop computer I got when we arrived it is a lot easier to work with as laptop needs a rest and this is so much easier to use.
And I go back to work for next 10 days on Tuesday and 10am till 6pm. for 3 days the 10 hour days kick in again.

And our first few hours here the place caught on fire the solar Panels in one section exploded into fire so we had 20 firemen and police and Ambulance as well, it was surreal and not damage to place only a panel and a some wiring were damaged, but we are here all good.

Hopefully next fortnight will have a lot more but that's abut this weeks update.
