WEEK 118, WE WAKE ON THE MAINLAND....

We have made the mainland and are getting thing sorted and as you see below have some photos from the boat as we left Tasmania and as we arrived in Melbourne. We head straight to drop of the van at our place that we will be for a while and meet our bosses and put some gear and then headed over to visit our friends and have dinner and spend the night with them as I had a few surprises stored there for Ellen and as you will read below I hope she will excited with her new play thing.
Sorry about the delay but its been a wild time last few days and I got this together in a quick time, but next fortnight I will cover things I have missed from this week.

This is the boarding of the cars to the ferry and we were lucky as there was not many to board our crossing night and we got on board within about 40 min.

This story has taken  near two years to happen, so lets venture back to this time two years ago, as part of travelling we had to get rid of Ellen's car which was a little pink car which she got new and had for a couple of years. Which stripped her of her going out on her own and I had to take everywhere she wanted and I am not a shopper so it was hard but we had to do it as having two cars was not going to be an option. So the funds from that sale went into a Account for Ellen to use as need and she used some for her Jewellery while in Atherton and some when she travelled back to Brisbane so, so it did not leave much for a car, but I had funds from the sale of the computer program I sold in February and really did not use and I used some of that to top up the car fund so the car is paid for and rego for 12 months was done.

So as some would know I went to Melbourne to check out a job which did not work out but while there I bought her a car as we were going to be stopping in and around the area, and with me working 10 days straight and four off, she needed to be able to get about.

After speaking with our friend Mary about it I searched for weeks and just could not find the exact same car and I was getting nowhere and I finally found a car which was not exact but was pink, was a auto and within the price range, it was so hard to get one with all the bells and whistles, but this was going to be the one.

So while in Melbourne, our friends drove me over to car which I bought, taking about 3 minutes as I had already had it checked out, so I paid for it and they had it ready the next morning and it has been sitting in Mary's garage for some 6 weeks now, I even went Supercheap and got the same floor mats and a heap of cleaners and polish for the car as it was needing a good clean.

So until we drove into Mary's street and we told her about it, she had no idea and it was so hard to keep secret as during the lead up over past weeks she was complaining about not being able to go to shops craft shops or markets without me taking her, and I can tell you I almost told her, but had to be strong and waited

So we drove to friends and the car was parked out across road from Mary's and she noticed it but was not aware it was hers till we pointed out she should have a look

So below in these photos is the place where we are going to be held up for a while as I do training and working in van park, its has started out as good because not long after we got here the solar panel on the roof of the Motel, caught  fire and we had Police, fire  everywhere, lucky it was on the roof only.
