WEEK 108, LIFE MOVES ALONG.....

Picture

Well we are all settled into the house now and it was fine weather for a couple of days but it started to rain again by Monday and with an Avg. of some 25mm per day enough to be a pain, it has not been so cold so ok I guess.

We are here for next 9 weeks and should give us time to see around this area and get ourselves sorted for what he have planned once we get back to mainland. We have booked now and are going back on the 16th Nov. night trip again so we have not to worry too much about peak hour traffic once we land in Melbourne
So this week we got in and sorted van out and repacked to suit what will be needed once on mainland and look for stuff not needed or we are carrying that we have not used in so time, I re checked all around van and all was ok, why do it now when you have so long before you move. One thing I have learnt always be prepared as you never know what can happen.
Like the other day I slipped on some moss and crashed to ground and hurt my right shoulder and I was lucky I did not break anything, only bruised and sore for a few days.

So you really have to ready for anything as you travel. I even went out in the rain and washed the van, have not done that for a while and it looks so much better for it.

Have been into Burnie a few times now and down to water front will get some more shots once the weather clears up so to show its best side , it has most shops we need and only problem as with most places the carparks are so low I cant get the 4x4 into them and have to find a park on roadways and they charge some 2.50 an hour to park around here in most towns

Before the owners left they were nice enough to take us out for dinner at the local pizza and Pasta place and we have a great meal, and the food was nice best pizza around to date, not that we have eaten out much.

Yesterday the weather was somewhat better and headed up to Cape lighthouse hill to see how the flowers were going, well the ground is all ploughed up but not much in the way of flowers yet going by what we have heard the whole area will be covered in flower in a few weeks. So we had a walk about Wynyard township and its a nice place with friendly people willing to say hello even to us.

So went into local Bakery and seen this sitting on the shelf and bought back the days when this was the training device that was used around our house if you stepped out of line and that was a few times I can tell you and the trick was don't move away from it stay as close to the person and they cant get up a good swing and it did not hurt as much then

So we headed to Penguin to visit the tractor and machine fair and not a big turn out but the locals have done there best and the noise of the tractors and machines running but still worth the trouble to drive down and see.

So who would have thought that there would be so many different flowers out already, as you guessed we are at the Wynyard flower show, well I got the tractor show only fair maybe. But do enjoy the flowers we did

As most travellers would understand when you hook up to a household you need to protect you van and their house using some sort of guard when power is going from a 10amp plug to a 15amp van so we have below to use and the other day got a surge protection device to be damm sure we are not having to worry about power coming into van
Weatherproof for caravan outdoor use
Maximum surge protection
Includes unique outlet tester which warns of incorrectly wired outlets
Only 15A surge protector available
