We only had a day to visit here as we had a house sit to get to some 250km down the road and we went out not really knowing what we would come across in this little town, which turned out to be much bigger than we thought
The coast line we drove along had some great looking beach's and places to explore and would be a kids playground and would be hard to keep them out of trouble.

First up we went down the harbour and were you can get water tours and such , they have a boardwalk along that part of the water way and we had a visit of the little boat shed maritime museum that is free, the person who look after it on the day we were there showed us around and explained the different displays, it was great to hear the history of some of the areas boating skills that built the boats and to still have a working row boat built in 1912 was good to see.
the shed boat house is filled with lots of bits and pieces from the days gone past and is well worth the visit and if you don't get enough here they have the main museum just up the road.
If you feel like you need a pirate selfie they have the hats and gear for you in this corner of the shed
As you can see by the photos it is a stunning place lots of little beach's along the coast line to visit and not far to walk down to some, but it was very busy the day we looked about as it was hot.
But down on the beach or over looking the coast there was a cool breeze blowing

I pulled into a park and stopped mainly to get shots from the lookout and people were having Barbies and eating food and there were three very large lizards just near the tables both people and lizards seemed to know how close you should get to each other
