Mossman

Thinking it's time to go we left the shopping street in Port Douglas before my wallet had a heart attack, we headed up the road to Mossman and it's still the little town next to Port Douglas, no it's grown up with a large Woolworths and other shops not how I remember it.

We did the drive though town and because its lunch was lunch time and the pub came into view and a $12 lunch was taken in the old pub in town, good food and fast service great old dinning area and the outdoor beer garden has its own pool.

We were going to do the Mossman gorge but I remember you drove there and walk down a track as all rainforest parks and there it is, they have locked it up now the locals have a Grand building with a coffee shop and art galley.

And for $9.50 each they will bus you the couple of kms. up the road so you can see it. Sorry I will not pay to see a creek running with clear water as I can go to any park in Atherton for free to see they same and better I think, so wrong my opinion only of course.

Grand old pub at one end of town where we stopped for lunch.
They were friendly and the food was great, quick and hot.
Had a look around the pub its Beer Garden has its own pool which would be great for the kids in those hot summer days when Mum and Dad stop off for a drink or two.

They just don't make pubs like this old girl it has that old feel about it, must have been a great place during the old days.
