BUNDABERG

We only spend a couple of days in Bundaberg as our plans are very tight for next little while due to us spending extra time in Rockhampton house sitting for a friend.
We stayed at the Big 4 park which is next door to the New Jayco Show rooms, the park is the older style and you would have trouble with vans over 23 ft. with narrow roads and small sites, we were happy with how clean and tidy the park was and the staff were very friendly which helps.

As part of our visit here we had a look about the museum which is $20 each to see and you get 4 drinks at end to sample the wears, I did not as they are full drinks and I was driving so Ellen had to have them which she looked a little drunk after 3 drinks in about 30 min. So with her talking and walking looking drunk off to give her some food and we ended up over at the Hinkler museum at the Botanic Gardens which you can see photos below.
Now last time we came here you saw the house and that was about it now they have a full building to the man and you can visit the house inside as well.

So below is the house that is in the Botanic Gardens which was built in England and was set to be pulled down and a few good people of Bundaberg got together and had it shipped piece by piece over to where it is now.
The gardens around the house are stunning and the rain in past number of days has left the grass so green and thick

The photo above was taken from the upper level in the house looking out towards the gardens.
The various photos below are taken inside the house and its a little house were I have to duck going up and down the stairs and notice no TV

So Below is the New museum that is for Bert Hinkler and has lots of things about the man and is good t see the locals got together and kept his past and bits and pieces so others can see the past times we lived in.
so once you are finished looking at my Photos etc.

The link to the site where you can see and maybe visit next time you are that way
